Richlands Women Blues

[edit]

There's been some edits debating whether or not Mississippi John Hurt's song "Richlands Women Blues" is relevant to Richlands, Virginia. The source, a book titled "Mississippi John Hurt: His Life, His Times, His Blues" by Philip P. Ratcliffe, states on page 69 that a W.E. Myer from Richlands, Virginia wrote the lyrics of the song and then Mississippi John Hurt wrote the melody.[1]. I've reverted edits that removed "Richlands Women Blues" from the article. The source seems correct on this edit, and it's also a reliable one, the University Press of Mississippi. I'm not sure what the problem is? Magnolia677 (talk) 00:01, 1 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]
I agree that the source is valid and that "Richlands Women Blues" belongs in this article. I added this section to add context for edits keeping "Richlands Women Blues" included in this article. Hopefully, folks will read this and discuss the issue (or non issue?) here before blanking the section again. RVA all day (talk) 03:18, 1 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]
