Edit Request

[edit]

Wikipedia is source of information for majority of the media. So there should not be over glorification or an article depriving an actor of the glory he has received. Both are wrong

  • Rishi Kapoor was not as successful as a solo lead hero or in 2 hero films he acted in from 1973-2000 as other actors of Inidian Cinema from 1970-2000.

Rishi comparatively enjoys a more successful career as a supporting actor since 2005.

  • Rishi Kapoor got 51 films as the solo lead hero from 1973-1997, however, 40 of these were not successful at the box office
  • His only 11 successful films from 1973-2000 include Bobby, Laila Majnu, Rafoo Chakkar, Sargam, Karz (1980), Prem Rog (1982), Nagina (1986), Honeymoon, Banjaran, Henna and Bol Radha Bol.
  • Kapoor did 41 multi hero films from 1976-2000 where he was cast as 2nd or 3rd lead hero of which ONLY 24 were successful and rest were not successful
  • In most of the multi hero films Rishi did from 1976-2000, it was his other co-star whose character over-shadowed his and the other co-star was appreciated more like in case of Naseeb, Katilon Ke Kaatil, Coolie, Duniya, Sitamgar, Zamana, Ghar Parivaar to name a few.
  • Of the 41 multi star films he did - only 13 had him in pivotal lead roles and rest of the films had him having lesser footage than the main lead hero.Only 13 films ahd him in more footage than or equal footage as the other hero in the two hero films which Rishi Kapoor did. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Verify50123 (talkcontribs) 08:52, 14 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Guess already issue has been raised. Rishi Kapoor had only 25 successful films in 2 hero films and 16 did not run. Only 11 of his 51 solo lead hero films were successful. This edit request was pending since 2 years but no action taken till now!Phirkaisadarr (talk) 18:19, 29 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Rishi Kapoor vandalism by Bonadea

[edit]

The Rishi Kapoor article - is presently glorifying him unnecessarily. You are removing fact that he had only 11 successful films from 51 solo hero films and that he had only 25 successful films of the multi star films he did!

By not mentioning the article is excessive of POV and is not adhering to neutral point of view! The article is keeping quiet on whether of the 92 films he did as lead hero, all were successful? No. Majority were disasters(only 36 films of 92 have been successful and rest flops).Phirkaisadarr (talk) 08:18, 30 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Not vandalism - my edits reverted your addition of content that did not meet Wikipedia policies, and you have been informed about exactly which policies are involved. Hence, you are very well aware of the fact that it's not vandalism to revert your changes, and it is very surprising that you repeat the accusations here since you also know that I agree with you about the article's current state, it glorifies the subject unnecessarily. The way to counter that is not to add unsourced detail with point-of-view wording like "disaster" or "flop" or saying that films "did not work", while adding yet more undue detail. By all means discuss what can be done to fix the article, but do not accuse other editors of vandalism when they be d over backwards to explain exactly what the problem is with your edits. --bonadea contributions talk 08:50, 30 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]

I totally agree with you. Summer0000 (talk) 13:07, 15 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]

The current version of the sentence is well-sourced, the proposed source does not appear reliable and has no mention of "brothers". Usedtobecool ☎️ 12:56, 30 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Removal of BLP policy notice

[edit]

I think that the notice regarding BLP should now be removed since the person is dead. Even if the death is a recent one, there should be no issues because the death is non controversial. The news has also been verified by reliable sources. DishitaBhowmik 07:40, 30 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

BLP protections apply up to anywhere between six months and two years after death (WP:BDP). Usedtobecool ☎️ 12:50, 30 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Not done: it's not clear what changes you want to be made. Please mention the specific changes in a "change X to Y" format and provide a reliable source if appropriate. That information is already on the article. —KuyaBriBriTalk 14:18, 21 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]
