Merger proposal

[edit]

@TipsyElephant, BOZ, and Liance: Follow up from User talk:TipsyElephant#Podcast / actual play drafts since I missed that Rivals of Waterdeep (podcast) was submitted to AfC (I thought it was still in a draft state). Rivals of Waterdeep (podcast) (created October 2021) is a WP:DUP of Rivals of Waterdeep (created June 2020 as a redirect, updated to article on March 11, 2022) so it should be merged into the older article. I also want to flag that Rivals is a web series (broadcast on Twitch/YouTube) that then had a podcast adaptation. Sariel Xilo (talk) 05:18, 12 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]

It may take some work, but before doing the history merge it would be best to figure out which version to work from (probably yours for simplicity since it was created later, unless the earlier draft is more complete, then I'm not sure), and then make sure to move all the sources and content from the other draft that doesn't duplicate anything. That's just my two cents - good work to both of you, and now it's time to work together for the old "greater whole than the sum of your parts" or whatever. ;) Forgive me, I just woke up. @BOZ: I'm unsure how to do a history merge, but I'm totally fine with merging content from the draft I created into the other article. I was mostly just trying to demonstrate the show's notability and get it through AfC for others to work on. Will the AfC tag be merged to the other article as well? TipsyElephant (talk) 16:12, 12 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]
I went ahead and boldly merged the content from the draft I created and also boldly moved the AfC tag, but some reason it says the date is invalid. Feel free to make corrections to anything I did. TipsyElephant (talk) 16:53, 12 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]
I'm not sure what I did to fix the time/date in the merged-from template, but it looks like I may have had a different ASCII character for the numerical value "2022". TipsyElephant (talk) 16:58, 12 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]
No problem, I made a request at Wikipedia:Proposed article mergers. BOZ (talk) 00:52, 13 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]
