In need of rewrite

[edit]

This article should not remain in its present state on Wikipedia. As it stands, the article is purely promotional and contains no verified facts. I am also in some doubt that the band is in fact notable. Zivko85 06:29, 27 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Agreed the item does need to be wikified (one of my early articles) and the information needs to be verified - which I will ensure occurs.Dan arndt 06:46, 27 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]
The band does meet the notability requirements in that:
  1. The band has been the subject of multiple non-trivial published works whose source is independent from the musician/ensemble itself and reliable (such as newspaper articles and magazine articles).
How does it meet this? This was exactly my point. Zivko85 08:30, 27 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]
  1. The band has toured nationally around Australia, which has been reported in reliable sources
  2. Contains at least one member who was once a part of or later joined a band that is otherwise notable
  3. The band has won or placed in a major music competition.
  4. The band has had songs placed in rotation nationally by a major radio network and has had videos broadcast on national TV shows.
It should be noted that a band is notable if it meets any one of the criteria specified.Dan arndt 06:57, 27 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Aside from WP:MUSIC it also has to meet WP:N, WP:V, WP:NOT and WP:RS. WP:MUSIC alone will not save it if it is in contravention of Wikipedia policies. Zivko85 08:30, 27 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Fair use rationale for Image:Seventypie-rollerskates.jpg

[edit]

Image:Seventypie-rollerskates.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.
