Russell-Cotes Museum (formally, the Russell-Cotes Art Gallery & Museum) what is the source of this name change? The museum is still called by the full name http://www.russell-cotes.bournemouth.gov.uk/ --Steve 12:09, 19 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I think there is a confusion here - it says formally, not formerly. We usually call it the Russell-Cotes Museum, but its formal and correct name is the Russell-Cotes Art Gallery & Museum, right?--Holdenhurst 11:32, 22 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I have no idea why there are typos on the web site. However, it is a fact that if you go to the web site that you yourself linked to, the opening page has "&".--Holdenhurst 18:49, 12 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Yes the opening page and the logo for the museum use an "&", but to say that it is wrong or a typo if "and" is used is stretching things. In support of not always using an "&" see the museums's entry in the Charity Comission Central Register. To say that the name is "always spelt with an ampersand" is not supported by the facts. --Steve Cottrell 22:46, 12 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]
