24 days as a major general

[edit]

Authoritative sources confirm Hinote served only 24 days as a major general. The Congressional Record reveals DoD nominated him on May 19, 2020 as a brigadier general to serve as a lieutenant general. This DoD press release reveals his nomination to grade O-8 eight days prior on May 11, 2020. The Congressional Record confirmed his second star on May 21, 2020, two days after his nomination for a third star. His official bio notes he pinned his second star on May 22, 2020 and pinned his third star on June 15, 2020. USAF sent Congress an official document on July 22, 2020 listing Hinote as a Lieutenant General. Oh, and Hinote's LinkedIn profile lends credence (as if we needed any more). My comparison charts for current 3-star USAF generals show Hinote's O-1 to O-6 time-in-grade all fall within the first standard deviation. Rob Rosenberger (talk) 04:38, 6 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]
