S3G Core 3
[edit]The S3G Core 3 used Y shaped control rods in haxagonal cells in a skew-divergent arrangement. Dog-bone fuel plates with integral coolant channels, etc. I think you mixed your rod shapes up when you wrote this, because you otherwise nailed it. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 65.102.236.193 (talk) 16:41, 27 February 2008 (UTC)
I'm a former nuclear project engineering with the navy. Some of the material in this article is likely still classified (yes, it lasts a long time for naval nuclear reactor design), so I can't confirm or deny any detail. But there is at least one clear glaring error for those who know.
