Talk

[edit]

1. Create talk page 2. Add link to Citizens 4 St. Edwards State Park. That site has information on renovation plans
21:50, 2 May 2006 (UTC)~rewinn 3. Remove link to Citizens 4 St. Edwards State Park. It is dead and goes nowhere. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Steds98028 (talkcontribs) 04:44, 3 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Slideshow?

[edit]

I have a slideshow tour of St. Ed's here: http://picasaweb.google.com/rewinn/Steds I don't know whether that's appropriate for including in the article's External Links. rewinn (talk) 07:58, 13 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Plaque

[edit]

This plaque is on a concrete block in front of St. Edward Seminary:

SAINT EDWARD STATE PARK

The acquisition of this 316 acre site with its 3,000 feet of low bank shoreline was authorized and funded by the 1977 session of the Washington State Legislature. Three and one half million dollars came from referendum 28. The Washington State outdoor recreation bond issue, and $35 million from the Federal Land and Water Conservation Fund.

The preservation of this state park for recreational use by the citizens of Washington was made possible through the interest, dedication and cooperation of many individuals and organizations.

Special note should be made of the contributions by Archdiocese of Seattle - Archbishop Raymond G. Hunthausen; U.S. Department of the Interior - Cecil D. Andrus, Secretary; Regional Office of the Bureau of Outdoor Recreation - Maurice H. Lundy, Director; Washington State Department of General Administration - Vernon L. Barnes, Director; Interagency Committee for Outdoor Recreation - Micaela Brostrom, Chairman; and the Washington State Parks and Recreation Commission - Eustace Vynne, Jr. Chairman.

Images

[edit]

Images need to be thumbnailed. Starting off with the gigantopic makes the article hard to read. rewinn (talk) 02:31, 21 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

The following text has been removed from the main article since it's appropriate only for this discussion page: "The Saint Edward State Park Centennial individual park icon was removed from this page at the request of Washington State Parks. They are used only on items officially published by Washington State Parks and Recreation Commission. They are intended to show the public that the information officially comes from the Commission." rewinn (talk) 01:40, 5 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Kirkland annexation

[edit]

According to this map it appears that a corner of the park will be in the Kirkland city limits starting summer 2010.—Brianhe (talk) 21:12, 5 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Annexation was completed (summer 2011, not 2010, my typo above) and a corner of the park south of Holmes Point Drive is now in the city map [1]. I will update the article. - Brianhe (talk) 17:51, 16 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]
