Is this a contributing property to the Flemington Historic District, listed on the National Register of Historic Places? I would guess that it is, but I haven't found a definitive list of properties in the district yet. --Elkman (Elkspeak) 16:26, 10 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I had the exact same question as I was creating the article. I searched the various databases, but could find absolutely nothing. I assume it is too, but without any evidence to support it I couldn't specify it. Alansohn (talk) 19:10, 10 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]
I can't remember where in Flemington it is, but if it's in the western end of downtown it probably is within the local historic district. Alan, have you tried calling the local historic society and seeing if they have a copy of the NRHP nom? Until NJ makes like NY and PA and starts putting this information online (unlikely given the state's comparatively low preservation budget), that's what we'd have to do. I've thought of making the call, but that smacks of original research, ha ha. I had seen the detailed NRHP nominations from other states which are basically all of the research you need to do to write a top-quality article. I searched for the New Jersey entries and was stunned to find that copying a few pages to a .pdf document was limited by budget constraints. It's unfortunate, but I will continue the research, with some of the original kind of research used to point me towards reliable sources. Alansohn (talk) 15:50, 15 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]
