Tunnel used for road traffic
[edit]While the Bylong tunnel was physically complete, but railless, road traffic unofficial used it as a shortcut that avoided the road over the terrain. As the tunnel was straight, westbound and eastbound flashed their headlights to determine which car/truck had right of way. Eventually the Roads made this official with proper signs. When the railway was completed around 1984, road traffic reverted to the route over the range. Tabletop (talk) 23:50, 20 December 2009 (UTC)
Errors in diagram
[edit]How does one correct errors in the diagram template?
- NOT THIS:
- Ulan Colliery
- Ulan
- BUT THIS:
- Ulan
- Ulan Colliery
- Baerami ??
- Widdon ??
- Werrabee - crossing loop
- Bylong - crossing loop
- Akuna
- Wollar - crossing loop
- Wilpinjong - balloon loop

- You need to edit the template Template:SandyHollow-_Gulgong. Alternately, the template should be merged into the article, as there is no reason for a template to exist if it is transcluded into only one article.
- I've done some corrections including swapping Ulan and Ulan Colliery, adding the balloon loop at Wilpinjong Colliery and adding the passing loops. The above list is currently incomplete as new loops have been added recently.
- The correct spelling is Widden, New South Wales, but I suspect that it's more likely to relate to Widden Creek. Neither have articles.
- Oh, and the points at Sandy Hollow for the line to Merriwa have been removed and straight railed at some stage, but I don't know if there is a way of showing this on the diagram.
- The more I look at the line diagram, the more I think that this article and the Merriwa line article should restructured so that the Ulan line as it now operates is one article, while the now disused section from Sandy Hollow to Merriwa would be in the other article. The current structure doesn't match current usage and is likely to be confusing to people who are unfamiliar with the historical aspects. --Athol Mullen (talk) 07:15, 23 December 2009 (UTC)

Restricts original ? &
