[edit]As the creator of this BLP, note that I was employed by UCL some years ago, however I have never had any connection with Sarah-Jayne Blakemore or her department at UCL. --Fæ (talk) 12:14, 18 January 2014 (UTC)

[edit]- Brown, Mark (29 May 2018). "Teenagers' brains not ready for GCSEs, says neuroscientist". the Guardian. Retrieved 2 June 2018.
Parking this reference. Seems this is an important piece of research that we need to document.
that teenagers were unfairly mocked and demonised for behaviour they had no control over, whether that was moodiness, excessive risk-taking, bad decision making or sleeping late. The changes in the brain were enormous, she said, with substantial rises in white matter and a 17% fall in grey matter, which affects decision making, planning and self-awareness.
With the conclusion that taking an exam (GCSE- UK) at 16 is harmful. Interesting and we have a Wikipedian in residence at te Wellcome too. --ClemRutter (talk) 20:22, 2 June 2018 (UTC)
