Sarah Whitley is the earliest born woman to ever appear in motion pictures, and also the first person to die after they appeared in a film.
The article will by default be rather small, yet, one could argue it should stand by itself.
Born in Wakefield, 1816, she was the mother-in-law of the Louis Le Prince, and appeared in the first film ever made Roundhay Garden Scene. She died shortly after the making of the film in 1888.
