Copyediting
[edit]I started to copy edit this article as part of the WP:GOCE July drive, but I have found that much of this article is confusing and sometimes incomprehensible. Perhaps a fluent German speaking editor can look at the sources in German and make sense of this article. I improved the grammar at the beginning of the article, and added a good many links for places and people. --DThomsen8 (talk) 18:43, 5 July 2011 (UTC)
This article is straight out of Google translate and unbefitting of Saul Ascher. Who wrote it? How does one get the to alter it? My gut instinct says delete until someone has the time to write a proper article.Estragon 1977 — Preceding unsigned comment added by Estragon 1977 (talk • contribs) 19:20, 19 October 2011 (UTC)
ridiculous language
[edit]I read the "Legacy" section in amazement. What language is it in? It's a complete gibberish.
It was also wrong in places/ probably not (only) a machine translation.--Ralfdetlef (talk) 16:09, 22 October 2022 (UTC)
Thiele was a friend of Peter Hacks; he worked for Hacks and published him. Grab, a good historian of proletarian and jewish literature, like Hacks (and Heine) also was a socialist/communist. 2.) An big book on Ascher was recently published from the notes of the late William Hiscott, who had been a young Historian (Potsdam). See deWP, Literature; in the Saul Ascher lemma. There are many reviews of this Hiscott book.--Ralfdetlef (talk) 17:58, 22 October 2022 (UTC)
Same story, different writer
[edit]As with the other wikipedians above, the language in this was quite often garbled. I have referred to the original German text and attempted to rectify the translation to make it more comprehensible. I will return to make additions and changes in the coming days. If anyone has the time to find appropriate sources for citation, I would be grateful! Tynewyrd (talk) 07:19, 21 May 2023 (UTC)
