It is my understanding that, perhaps not a direct ancestor of the modern turtle and tortoise, that the Scutosaurus is at least a very closely related cousin and is along the same lineage as the shelled reptiles, exemplified by its early plated dorsal exterior. As such, I think this information should be added to the Scutosaurus under a heading, if any, of modern descendants or words to that effect.

"Paedagogic" program teaches wrong facts about the scutosaurus

In the program "Boo!" (e.g. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=unqEVPwmmyw) it is alleged that this is a tiny, red creature, and points are being made of it being both small and red, for "paedagogic" purposes. Let's hope that dinosaur knowledge was the only weak point of the program makers (but apparently they weren't able to do a fact check, since I'm not a dinosaur expert either but easily found this as well as the Prehistoric Animal blog; granted, this page was not created until 2006 whereas the program is from 2003, but still, there must have been reliable sources available for makers of paedagogic television programs). Cheekbones
