Suggested Improvements?
[edit]1 Shell-side - Clarification of the locations at which rhoxV2 is defined.
2 Recommended maximum values.
3 Tube Side - Recommended minimum and maximum values for rhoxV^2 inside tubes to ensure good dispersion of glycol film.
4 Recommended fouling factor to take account of glycol film.
5 Recommendations regarding glycol spray nozzle design.
For Kettle reboilers:
1 Recommended maximum heat flux to avoid unstable (film) boiling regime.
2 Maximum temperature difference between tube wall and boiling fluid.
3 Maximum Liquid inlet nozzle velocities or rhoxV^2 value.
4 Number and placement of liquid inlet nozzles.
5 Maximum Vapour exit nozzle velocity or rhoxV^2 value.
6 Number and placement of Vapour exit nozzles.
7 Recommendations for space above maximum liquid level for adequate disengagement of liquid droplets
For Selection of tube material:
