New Page
[edit]I created the new page with--I believe--sufficient backup information to show sufficient notability. More information would certainly be useful because the content is primarily background and general information about their products. I'd love to see someone place the logo, but I wasn't sure about the sourcing of the image and the fair-use rules. Prainog (talk) 02:14, 3 May 2023 (UTC)
- @Prainog: Thank you for creating this separate page. I think the key point right now is to find more articles from reliable sources that support the various points and can replace the current links to either press releases or information from the company itself. I will try to carve out some time to do so myself (but others would be welcome to do so). - Dyork (talk) 14:41, 23 May 2023 (UTC)
Independent company or SNC subsidiary?
[edit]Based on information in articles, it has seemed to me that Sierra Space was a completely separate company spun out of Sierra Nevada Corporation. However, in this April 2021 article from CNBC about the new company, it quotes an email from SNC Chairwoman and President Eren Ozmen that says in part (my emphasis added):
- “To achieve this growth and even greater impact more quickly, today we are announcing our space business area will transition to become an independent, commercial space company... Sierra Space will remain part of the SNC family as a subsidiary and continue deep cooperation and synergy across customers, technologies, and many shared activities.”
So this makes me think we need to do a deeper dive and figure out if Sierra Space is fully separate or a SNC subsidiary. This article would need to be updated as well as the SNC and Dream Catcher articles. - Dyork (talk) 11:18, 28 December 2023 (UTC)
