Etymology of name

What is the etymology of the Lao name Sisavang (ສີສວ່າງ), and does it come from Pali? Is it related to the Khmer ស៊ីសុវតិ្ថ (the first part of the name of the Cambodian king Sisowath of Cambodia)?
