Where does this definition and information come from? It is certainly not the understanding in common use. (Outboard motors are common in recreational ski boats, for example, and jet drives are not uknown either.) Where is the history of ski boats? Who decided that those would be the standards in the US (they almost certainly have zero legal force, which could be construed from the current version)?

This is not explained at boat. If you can't tell me what a ski boat is, then just delete the redirect. DAVilla (talk) 03:41, 21 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for catching this. I changed the target of the redirect to Waterskiing which has a section on tow boats (ski boats).TMCk (talk) 21:27, 21 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]
