Is skicross in the olympics like snowboardcross? Pkazazes 13:06, 18 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Unfortunately, skicross is not an olymic discipline, till NOW! The FIS Freestyle community is working hard to get this to Vancouver 2010. The IOC already got the bid, to add this new and attractive discipline for the upcoming olympic games. HH

On November 28th 2006 the IOC EB (Executive Board) decided to include Skicross as a new discipline of Freestyle Skiing in Vancouver during the Olympic Games 2010. The venue will be in Cypress Mountain. The Snowboardcross course will be rebuilt into as Skicross course.

Article name

[edit]

I moved the page from "Skicross" to "Ski cross", but now that it's done, I'm having second thoughts. Neither name feels perfect. What's the best name? Is it possibly "Ski-cross"? Anyone? LarRan (talk) 18:31, 23 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

The IOC refers to the sport as Ski Cross

World championships?

[edit]

I thought there are also World championships contested? Not worth mentioning? FIS Freestyle Skiing World Championship, or something like that? 85.217.40.33 (talk) 05:34, 15 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

- There is a lack of information on the top athletes in this sport

- No reliable and sourced information on Ski-Cross techniques

- Adding citations to the history section to make the page more reliable. Avgg0w (talk) 19:16, 6 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
