A note for Sonya Rapoport researchers and historians
[edit]Researchers looking for more information about Rapoport's life and artistic development might want to look at my "13:38, 16 August 2018 Saudade7" edit, as this iteration is the final version of a much longer entry, based both on clarifying conversations with Rapoport before her death and relying on access to all publications, documentary materials, and archives in her Berkeley, California art studio and home before her death. Later edits to the page have erased 75 percent of this sourced, notated, and confirmed material to make the wikipedia entry "more streamlined" by editors from The Sonya Rapoport Legacy Trust.
In creating the original article, I worked very hard to ensure that it was of the highest fully-sourced, neutral/objective, fact-checked, (and even my own "inclusionist") standards of the Wikipedia, having myself been trained by Wikimedia to be a campus ambassador at UC Berkeley in the 2000s, and it is my belief that an encyclopaedia should not be a marketing tool. I feel that a wikipedia entry's job is to provide information: the more the better. To this end, I want researchers to be able to find the information they might be looking for when consulting Rapoport's page. I have no interest in, or patience with edit wars, so I will just leave this note for those who care enough to look here. --Saudade7 13:17, 15 August 2022 (UTC)
