The main subject for the title and redirect for Find Your Soul should be the English language song on Ceremonial (Pink Cream 69 album), at least until English language sources pick up the Chinese song. In ictu oculi (talk) 13:28, 1 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]

That link you used as a source, (although I actually think you meant this one), basically a video posted by who knows on a Chinese version of Youtube, shows them performing the song. It isn't mentioned by a reliable source that "Find Your Soul" is the name of the song, eventhough they repeat it throughout the lyrics. Currently, the only English-language source from Allkpop.com says they performed "Sword of Spirit/Hope" so that is the title of the song until verifiable sources pop up stating that it's actually called "Find Your Soul". (1) this edit is removal of sourced content. If you consider any content unsourced please add a [citation needed] note.
(2) Placing the first 2 lines of 80 line song is not a copy vio. Copyright allows for partial quotation of song, poem and other texts.
(3) It is mentioned by several Chinese reputable sources, entertainment news sites, that that is the title. This Korean "source" Allkpop looks like a blog translation by someone who can't read Chinese. In ictu oculi (talk) 15:52, 1 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]

This is the No.1 Chinese government newspaper Renmin Ribao's website: 《

Sure you'll agree that WP:RS indicates that a major newspaper is to be preferred over a blog. Cheers.

However, as the article says "中文主題曲" has the theme "Find Your Soul" doesn't mean that the title might not just be Soul (Girls' Generation song). But it isn't "Sword of Spirit / Hope" - Sword of Spirit" is a mistranslation of the game name 《剑灵》 into Chinese and back out into English again. If that's part of the title it'd be "Blade & Soul" not "Sword of Spirit" to be consistent. In ictu oculi (talk) 16:30, 1 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]
I've moved to a descriptive title per WP:CRITERIA: Blade & Soul Chinese theme song and per sources. That will hold until (if) it is ever released with a title. User:Raykyogrou0, best to avoid this kind of edit to redirects. Cheers. In ictu oculi (talk) 01:09, 2 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]
That edit was removing content "sourced" by a video posted by who knows. That source from that major Chinese newspaper is better (although it is called People's Daily). Those lyrics are also unsourced which is why I've added a tag. The reason why I moved it is because there were no sources added regarding the title. While Allkpop may not be the best source available, it was the only one I could find. Raykyogrou0 (Talk) 06:04, 2 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Korean version?

[edit]

An editor suggests a Korean version exists now called "Soul". Searching "소녀 시대" 한국어 노래 "soul" brings up nothing. What's the evidence for a Korean version, what's the title in Korean (not 영혼 ), and what are the first line lyrics in Korean? In ictu oculi (talk) 13:55, 23 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Check the Mr.Mr. EP on the last track, called "Soul". Check Itunes https://itunes.apple.com/album/girls-generation-4th-mini/id826334410 or Melon http://www.melon.com/cds/album/web/albumdetailmain_list.htm?albumId=2235426. On Melon you need to click on the track (Soul) and you will hear the song. (talk) 19:10, 2 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks, I have added the Korean first line lyrics section. User:SicaSunny, on that basis it could be moved to Soul (Girl's Generation song)? In ictu oculi (talk) 19:10, 2 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]
