Sales figures

[edit]

I thought Superunknown sold six million units in the US, not three million, and that Badmotorfinger sold over two million units, not one and a half million. That's what it says in the articles and on other websites. This should be fixed, or if this is correct then it should be changed in other Soundgarden-related articles too. Also, it used to say that Outshined and Rusty Cage did chart in the US on the Modern Rock charts, but it appears that it was deleted for reasons unknown. Sherlock32 (talk) 20:56, 8 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

The US sales are for copies sold, per Nielsen SoundScan, as can be found in this post here at the UK mix forums. For example, Superunknown has shipped 5 million units per the RIAA website, but it has sold about 3.5 million of those units shipped per the SoundScan numbers. Regarding Rusty Cage and Outshined, on the Billboard and AMG websites they are not listed as charting. If a reputable source which states that they both charted can be found, then they can be added. As it stands now there is no source which states that they did, so I don't know why they were added in the first place and where their chart positions came from.-5- (talk) 22:43, 8 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I just find it weird that one source says 5 million and another says 3.5 million. This page also said for a long time that they did chart, and I was just wondering why it suddenly said that they never did chart. Sherlock32 (talk) 23:40, 8 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

The 5 million number represents units shipped (per the RIAA), and the 3.5 million number represents actual copies sold (per SoundScan). For more information about it, you can check out the SoundScan page or this page about RIAA certifications.-5- (talk) 00:05, 9 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Room A Thousand Years Wide

[edit]

It's down as a non-album single in the article, but it was on Badmotorfinger... Is this an oversight or was it only on particular versions of the album? SupernautRemix (talk) 08:41, 19 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

It was released as a single in 1990, a year before the release of Badmotorfinger. The single version is also different than the version that would appear on Badmotorfinger.-5- (talk) 15:46, 19 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

"Superunknown" music video

[edit]

I was wondering if a music video for "Superunknown" is not on the list. According to some web pages and even the count of SoundgardenVEVO on youtube, there is: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AwdjreJKggg

But there's no mention to it in wikipedia, i think. So what about it? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 80.58.205.102 (talk) 22:19, 3 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

It was released only in Alive in the Superunknown CD and it's technically not an official music video. I don't think it should be included. 88.112.7.187 (talk) 20:18, 13 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

"Burden In My Hand" music video(s)

[edit]

It seems to me, according to having watched both of them, that there are two versions of the Burden In My Hand music video.

certifications and hot 100 airplay

[edit]

unless the chart positions and certifications can be verified i will be removing them, i know since going threw Soundgardens chart history on billboard that some of the chart position are true but not all of them —Preceding unsigned comment added by Feedmyeyes (talkcontribs) 23:32, 26 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Picture

[edit]

Do you mind if I change the main picture for Soundgarden to one where Kim Thayil is pictured? --Mrmoustache14 (talk) 21:13, 9 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Foreshocks

[edit]

What about this release? https://www.discogs.com/Soundgarden-Foreshocks/release/3776858 Nothing in the article about it... — Preceding unsigned comment added by 37.147.207.232 (talk) 23:51, 1 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]
