Hi, @ForsythiaJo

I believe this article should remain separate. Adding contents to the Human trafficking in Southeast Asia would make it not focused for below reasons. This article was intended to present an incident, but not a general presentation of a regional criminal issue and population. This incident has its own significance:

  • background and factor of China's development, Cambodian policy change, COVID-19 pandemic and internal conflict in Myanmar
  • few notable fraud parks mentioned by medias
  • involved criminal actors and victims are mostly Mandarin speaking individuals
  • victim-to-victims scams as victims are forced to commit crime to towards next victims
  • exploitation of modern technologies which operated with romance scam, job fraud and illegal online gambling
  • measures and rescues were taken by authorities and organizations towards this incident specifically
  • a movie based on this incident specifically
  • public and medias consistently refers to spiking number of Chinese people victims as are concerned by Chinese speaking community

The article title may be confusing with Human trafficking in Southeast Asia, thus suggested to have a discussion for consensus. Ong Kai Jin (talk) 08:44, 30 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]
