You should realise that alternative rock is "instead of rock 'n roll" it is slower and quieter. Alternative rock bands are Muse, Travis, Snow Patrol, Kill Hannah, Sunny Day Real Estate, Fugazi, Jimmy Eat World and Box Car Racer. This band really isn't alternative rock, they may have some songs in the genre, i have not heard them all, but what i have heard isnt alternative rock.
