The result of the move request was: Do not move. Consensus is that Splinter News is not the official name, but natural disambiguation which is used in RS is preferable to disambiguating the official name with "website". (non-admin closure) В²C 02:25, 6 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Splinter NewsSplinter (website) – "Splinter News" is not a formal or official title: it's just Splinter, similar to Vox (website), Polygon (website) and The Outline (website). While some reliable sources refer to it as "Splinter News" in passing or when citing reports (e.g. [1], [2]), indicating that "Splinter News" has entered the vernacular as a synonym, Splinter itself does not appear to use the title (aside from the url splinternews.com), nor do many sources that directly discuss the website (e.g. [3], [4], [5]. Splinter (website) was previously a redirect to Gizmodo, which does not even mention the website under discussion here. --Animalparty! (talk) 23:05, 27 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]
