I don't understand this article
[edit]Sorry, I found this article via the "random article" key and must admit I don't understand a word, although I'm quite good in mathematics. What is this set ???
By a google search I found this page, which at least gave me some ideas, but I still have no real clue.
Whats with this rephrasing: ...Størmer's theorem states that the set of integers
generated as products of the powers of given primes ...
but still I don't understand what the are. Obviously the can't be fixed numbers, because then it's only one integer, not a set, so I assume they are in some range. Is the set generated by giving each any value 1,2,3, ... i.e. each is set to all positive integers?

Re: Is the set generated by giving each any value 1,2,3, ... i.e. each is set to all positive integers?: Yes. —David Eppstein (talk) 23:02, 29 March 2008 (UTC)
- Hey, quick answer, thank you! Ok, will try to reformulate it in the next days (I need some time because I tend to formulate long complicate sentences myself which I will have to avoid...) --Cyfal (talk) 23:09, 29 March 2008 (UTC)
- Unbelievable, how can you be so quick? This new explanation is perfect. --Cyfal (talk) 23:32, 29 March 2008 (UTC)
