Why is the word "Point" not in the article name?

[edit]

Growing up in the region, we always referrred to it as the Point Saint George Lighthouse. And the official records and articles use the word. Norcalal 20:03, 21 September 2008 (UTC)

Actually they don't. The U.S. Coast Guard holds that the name is the same as the article. Point St. George is 6 miles away from the lighthouse which is on Seal Rock. The purpose of the light is to warn of St. George's Reef, not Point St. George. ⋙–Berean–Hunter—► ((⊕)) 22:07, 21 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]
