Bibliotheca Seguieriana

[edit]

"...a manuscript of the Seguerian library." This quaint reference from EB 1911 would seem to be refering to the library formed by Pierre Séguier, catalogued in the possession of his eventual heir, the duc de Coislin, by Bernard de Montfaucon, under the title Bibliotheca Coisliniani olim Seguieriana, sive manuscriptorum omnium graecorum quae in ea continentur, accurata descriptio: accedunt anecdota multa quae ad palaeographicam pertinent, ex eadem bibliotheca desumpta, cum interpretatione latina studio et opera Bernardi de Monfaucon (Paris 1715). I note this only because someone's made a link to "Seguerian" [sic]; accurata descriptio or not, I don't know where the ms in question is now: Bibliothèque nationale?--Wetman (talk) 11:28, 2 June 2008 (UTC).[reply]
