This article should probably be renamed "straw plait or straw-plaiting" and then more links could be made to it.

The plaited straw hat is not as common as it was before 1911, so the article seems dated

No, it is straw plaiting - it has been known as that for at least two centuries. My village here in rural Bedfordshire has an original "Straw Plait School".Plingsby (talk) 07:08, 10 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]
