Why are the coaches never mentioned? They are not in the body of the article, the information box, or the trivia. It seems like that is an important part of the history. -- Llarq 15:53, 31 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Trivia

[edit]

A funny trivia point: in the Sliders episode "Post Traumatic Slide Syndrome", the first hint that the sliders have not reached home in given when Quin discovers a framed paper article about the 49ers defeating the NY Jets in Super Bowl XIX. None of the others is willing to listen to him when he says the Niners beat the Dolphins Moonshadow Rogue (talk) 22:01, 20 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Game Summary

[edit]

In the NFL Films recap (Super Bowl XI-XX DVD Collector's Set), they mention San Francisco went to six defensive backs, which is a dime defense.RomeoMike (talk) 08:18, 8 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

For the SB XIX NFL Films recap, the narrator who replaced the late John Facenda was Brad Crandall.RomeoMike (talk) 00:58, 22 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

International Broadcast

[edit]

This article says that Superbowl XIX was the first Superbowl to be broadcast fully in the UK and that the "experiment" was never repeated. When in fact all Superbowls since the early/mid eighties have been shown live in the UK. Either on Channel 4, Sky or as now the BBC! —Preceding unsigned comment added by 86.147.105.7 (talk) 21:01, 8 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Home Field Advantage

[edit]

It's over 35 miles from Stanford to San Francisco. Even "The 'Stick" is an even 30—not the 15 mentioned here. Jackrepenning (talk) 06:05, 16 December 2015 (UTC) Jackrepenning (talk) 06:05, 16 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Needs a mention of the jetpack demo at halftime. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 69.181.61.6 (talk) 16:34, 3 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]
