[edit]The image Image:Saclant3.GIF is used in this article under a claim of fair use, but it does not have an adequate explanation for why it meets the requirements for such images when used here. In particular, for each page the image is used on, it must have an explanation linking to that page which explains why it needs to be used on that page. Please check

WP:NOTBROKEN and Flag Officer Submarines
[edit]Dear Rodw, I am just about to reverse your relinking of Flag Officer Submarines to the commodore-ranked-now Commodore Submarine Service, in accordance with WP:NOTBROKEN. If a separate article for Flag Officer Submarines is created in future, which is possible given the important role of the post in the Second World War and afterwards, the article here should directly link to it, not to Commodore Submarine Service. Kind regards and many thanks, Buckshot06 (talk) 17:25, 24 January 2022 (UTC)
- The link I changed was to Flag Officer Submarines a disambiguation page which includes Flag Officer Submarines (India) (which is not appropriate for this article) and Commodore Submarine Service (which relates to the UK navy) - therefore I would argue the link is broken. If you intended to link to the dab page then WP:INTDAB applies, if not I would suggest the link should be Flag Officer Submarines (NATO) or similar which would give a redlink encouraging someone to create the article.— Rod talk 19:17, 24 January 2022 (UTC)
- Ah OK. Yes, Flag Officer Submarines (India) is not the correct one. I will create as a redirect Flag Officer Submarines (United Kingdom) - it's a Royal Navy, not NATO post. Buckshot06 (talk) 20:39, 25 January 2022 (UTC)
