i can't account for shuffleboard's country of origin but, when younger, i played regularly at a local tavern. aside from shuffleboard, i remember we played another game called horsecollar. i forget the rules, does anyone remember? also, in shuffleboard scoring, did a hanger ( a weight which did not fall off the end but protruded over the end ) score thirteen points?160.93.156.45 (talk) 17:09, 7 April 2008 (UTC)

Cleanup/clarify
[edit]There were a lot of notes regarding the quality of this article! I did a lot of clarification regarding the table description and the rules, and got rid of the quality templates. Is anyone still confused? Durty Willy (talk) 21:21, 11 June 2008 (UTC)
Regarding Bumper/Cushion Shuffleboard:
Saying that bumper shuffleboard is "clearly more related to billiards and air hockey" is asinine. The ONLY difference between this form of shuffleboard and straight tables is one must hit the cushion once with the weight. Other than that, the tables and scoring are identical (except for the length of the table). It has NOTHING to do with bumper pool or air hockey. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 74.69.152.178 (talk) 17:21, 20 December 2010 (UTC)
