@AntonSamuel: Hey, I've done some research on this village and it seems like it is cut in half. CivilNET has made a report on it. According to geo-location of videos, it seems that most of the village (on the west) falls under Azerbaijani control, while a smaller part closer to Qirmizi Bazar is under Armenian control. How do you think we should show this divide in the infobox? — CuriousGolden (T·C) 08:22, 5 December 2020 (UTC)
- @CuriousGolden: Hey, yeah I've seen the same report - I suppose the article can reflect that it's a split village and that the Armenian part is now referred to as "Taghavard Kaler - Թաղավարդ Կալեր" or "Kaler - Կալեր" [1], one useful example that can be used as a template that comes to mind is the Cypriot capital of Nicosia which is a split city between Turkish and Greek Cypriots. If needed, the article could also be split into two to reflect the new reality. AntonSamuel (talk) 10:06, 5 December 2020 (UTC)
- @AntonSamuel: Alright, I've made an example infobox. See if this works. — CuriousGolden (T·C) 10:37, 5 December 2020 (UTC)
- @CuriousGolden: It's probably a good idea if we use the established balanced language and format, and right now it's a bit clunky. I've edited the infobox now with that in mind. AntonSamuel (talk) 10:48, 5 December 2020 (UTC)
- @AntonSamuel: Yeah, I just copy-pasted the Nicosia infobox format. I agree that this looks much better. I'll add it the article then. — CuriousGolden (T·C) 10:52, 5 December 2020 (UTC)

Move back to Taghavard
[edit]@CuriousGolden: I've moved back the article back to Taghavard now. As I've gathered earlier, "Taghavard" seems to overwhelmingly be the common name [2] [3] [4] [5] for the village, and is for example used by a reliable source such as Reuters. As the first move from "Tağaverd" to "Taghavard" was in December, and as a page-move war would not be constructive, I believe more than a procedural excuse would be needed to move the article to "Taghaverd", since it is clearly in the minority with regard to usage. If you think "Taghaverd" would be more appropriate with regard to Wikipedia guidelines for geographical names, I would advise you to start a requested move discussion regarding the matter and argue your case clearly. If you think I've made a mistake with this move, you're welcome to ping an administrator for input. AntonSamuel (talk) 22:22, 4 February 2021 (UTC)
- I don't mind, but you should open an RM for any move from an already established name in this topic (article had been Tağaverd ever since its existence). — CuriousGolden (T·C) 07:53, 5 February 2021 (UTC)
