Tedickey, why did you remove Textmode?

[edit]

It was not an "advert". It is a text-based web browser that should be included in the list. Gmacar (talk) 10:40, 28 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

WP:EL; Lists normally doesn't contain software which do not have their own article in this wikipedia. mabdul 13:08, 28 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Also WP:Notability, etc. Providing only a link to an advertisement isn't a way to convince others that your edit wasn't advertising TEDickey (talk) 22:16, 28 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]
...and the list is incomplete. Gmacar (talk) 11:20, 7 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]
There are probably more than enough advertisements in Wikipedia. No point in adding more, except for self-promotional purposes. TEDickey (talk) 11:55, 7 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]
WP:Wikipedia is a work in progress: this encyclopedia will never be finished. Write good articles and nobody will hinder you adding the article wikilink. mabdul 12:08, 7 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]
(agreed) TEDickey (talk) 23:27, 7 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

How can someone compile a text based browser so that it can not be used to automatically or manually download files, just text? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 207.196.128.37 (talk) 16:21, 29 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Charlotte web browser

[edit]

That's 4 links sourced to one individual, and has the appearance of a promotional edit. Lists such as this should be (see WP:WTAF) Wikipedia topics rather than a link-farm. TEDickey (talk) 10:23, 10 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]
