Predecessors

[edit]

The use of "The Late Show" as a weeknight movie block existed before the dates referenced, and may have been used by CBS O&O's (owned & operated). During the 1960s, at KMOX-TV in St. Louis, the lead-in music and station break bumpers used "The Syncopated Clock" as the musical theme. Whether there's any written verification of this available is unknown. 184.98.122.222 (talk) 11:56, 15 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

It wasn't simply "a local program" but something well established since 1951. Both "the late show" and "the late late show" were well established, and were the basis of the current TV shows of the same names. I can't find a lot about it online, and it existed well before there was anything online on the Internet, but there are sources such as http://www.lumenick.com/february-26-1963-wcbs-goes-to-all-night-movies/ as well as references to it in TV sitcoms from the 1960s, among others. 2600:1700:FA31:2750:4D0A:9CF7:5579:694D (talk) 22:22, 11 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]

CBS late movies where admirable  !

[edit]

Always just figured it was an excellent perspective idea to have a movie time set up for ONLY when. Made one prioritize their happenings. " When dinner was , kids do your homework , . . . " . Helps put an order to things . Keith Theakston (talk) 20:00, 8 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

CBS Late Night

[edit]

Well, I just made a separate page for CBS Late Night. Sure it’s rough but it’s created and under review. However some help with making the page better and making it turn more into its own thing would certainly be nice. Here’s the link: Draft:CBS Late Night. Help would contribute a lot, keep in mind this is not self promotion, I’d just like some people to help. If you want to then, thanks for the help.
