Speculation
[edit]I tink I know what place they drew inspiration when imagining the crystal empire, there is a city in the far north of Italy named Palmanova , look it up on google maps, its exactly the same, its hexagonal, and it's at the far north (of italy in this case) AND you can guess the size is the same by counting the buildings between the centre and the side, the one in italy is surrounded by a moat, and doesn't have the castle in the middle (it has a plaza where a big church is located tho) and it less that 600 years old (unlike the 1000+ years of the crystal empire, but read up on it, maybe you will find more similitudes , signed: trombonista92
- That's pretty cool (see Palmanova); unfortunately unless there's some sort of reliable source that says the Crystal Empire was based off Palmanova, we can't add it to the article... though I'd say personally I think it's highly likely. --.Yellow1996.(ЬMИED¡) 00:10, 23 October 2013 (UTC)
- thanks for the reply i dident tink anypony was actualy following this, yes I understand the source thing thats why i wrote this here under the title "speculation" one more (not too amazing) thing I realized is the similarity of the backgrounds in those 2 pictures: http://www.fotografieitalia.it/foto/69/Palmanova_69-11-27-17-4939.jpg and http://img-cache.cdn.gaiaonline.com/683aaeb9f7ee930c7df1e5726a83ea33/http://i376.photobucket.com/albums/oo209/treecko_queen/MLP/screenshots/9dc2090a845f50f4f3b638bab3f498cc-1.jpg both with geometrical fields, but ya you are welcome to put this on mlp wiki in the discussion page or something, i am not very nimble at this, it would be awesome if more people looked in to it :) just mention me if you do : trombonista92 XD — Preceding unsigned comment added by 174.1.9.150 (talk) 18:46, 24 October 2013 (UTC)
- No problem! :) Well I'm one of the few users with this article on their watchlist I guess; and I try and keep a watchful eye on all MLP articles when I can. Wow... now looking at those pics you've provided I have no doubt that the empire was definitely modeled off of Palmanova. That's so cool! And yeah I didn't think of that - the guys over at the MLP Wikia will probably want this. If I make it over there sometime (I don't edit nor have an account over there, but I could still bring it to their attention) I'll provide the info and links you gave here, and mention you; thanks, trombonista92! :) --.Yellow1996.(ЬMИED¡) 18:35, 25 October 2013 (UTC)

[edit]Does the current image, of Twilight and her friends running from King Sombra, work? Or would a different scene from these two episodes illustrate the article better? dogman15 (talk) 21:09, 15 November 2012 (UTC)

Sentence that didn't make much sense (I changed it.)
[edit]From the article:
Now that it has reappeared, Princess Celestia, worried that Sombra will reappear with the Empire, instructs Princess Cadance and her husband and Twilight Sparkle's brother Shining Armor to the Empire. She then sends for Twilight Sparkle.
What??? but they were already there, (Cadance and Shining Armor) weren't they? Celestia sent Twilight and her friends there to help, so I've changed it to:
Now that it has reappeared, Princess Celestia, worried that Sombra will reappear with the Empire, instructs Twilight Sparkle and her friends to travel to the Empire to help Princess Cadance and her husband, (Twilight's brother) Shining Armor.
Which seems ok to me. But if I've made any mistakes then feel free to change it. Thanks! :) --Yellow1996 (talk) 18:28, 11 March 2013 (UTC)
Update: Actually I just checked and it turns out Cadance and Shining Armor were merely sent first. So I've modified my correction accordingly. --Yellow1996 (talk) 18:36, 11 March 2013 (UTC)
