"A major contributor to this article appears to have a conflict of interest with its subject." I'd like to come into contact with the person who added this sentence. Cannot be done I think, for I'm Thomas de Klerk, Thom de Klerk's son and I wrote this article. I'm a writer, linguist and historian and carefully applied the methods of my ‘trade’.

Apart from having first hand access to the sources I’ve also conferred with former pupils and accessed existing literature like the “History of the Concertgebouw Orchestra”. Another source, Joep Terweij, is mention at the bottom of the article, for this source is easily accessible. Though most sources are in Netherlands, they are accessible on line. A simple Google search of my father’s name brings a multitude of hits from former pupils all over the world. Please consult those too before commenting on the source of the article.

Though the article originally was written in Netherlands (Dutch as an adjective is an English misconception on the basis of a wrongful translation of our word for German), the English translation of the article was checked by a native speaker of English. —Preceding unsigned comment added by THDKLERK (talkcontribs)

It's your father, therefore there is a conflict of interest. 'nuff said. Tim Song (talk) 00:39, 11 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Enough said sounds dictatorial, I'm sure you don't mean that seriously. Thom de Klerk was world famopus in his days. Perhaps you're in a different age group. I emphasized on the method and made clear all content is verifiable. —Preceding unsigned comment added by THDKLERK (talkcontribs)
