• Comment. No particular opinion whether "Tom Clancy's" should be prepended, but I object to the proposed organization. There are many game series which follow the similar pattern: FooBar becomes a big hit on the 1st release, and then it gets the sequels titled "FooBar: The Bar's revenge", "FooBar: the big adventure" and so on. However, in similar cases, the first ("undisambiguated") sequel gets the most text as the characters are recurring, the theme is used later, and separating the series article from the first sequel article is usually confusing and artificial; incoming links may be intended for the first one in the series, or entire series, or be entirely moot.
  To prove that, take a look at the current Ghost Recon and Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon: LOTS of duplicated information, repeated text etc.
  I propose simply merging the "series" article with the "first sequel" article, under whatever name. In the "ghost recon" case, it may turn out to simply redirecting (superficially, I see nothing or little in the series article not already told in the 1st sequel article). • Comment. Re series/first-installment, seems like there should be a convention on this issue, though cursory look at Wikipedia:WikiProject Video games didn't show such. Questionable Information

On March 8, user Metalgearps2 added the following entry

"On [[September 1], 2007], Ubisoft released the game for free to US residents, but was canceled when non-US residents downloaded the game."

The information was uncited and I consider it suspect. If anyone can verify it to be true and provides a credible source then feel free to revert, thanks.

Russian Invasion of Georgia, August 2008

According to [[1]] the campaign was actually in April of 2008, a more reliable source would be great, but I think the august 2008 claim needs varification. Still a few months off is remarkably close. 209.177.52.22 (talk) 15:09, 11 August 2008 (UTC)

Sorry to burst the bubbles of people viewing the article, but whatever you think, connecting GR1's scenario with the current situation in Georgia, claiming that the game 'foreshadowed', 'predicted', 'resembled' the conflict is nothing more than trying to insert OR. So what if the scenario takes place in the same year, involving the same countries as the actual conflict? It proves nothing! Please stop putting in such disruptive edits. Continuation?

Does anybody know if they intend to continue the Ghost Recon series beyond GRAW 2, or is the series complete? Since the storylines of the other Tom Clancy games are continued in H.A.W.X. and EndWar, does GRAW 2 appear to be the end?71.192.134.75 (talk) 01:55, 13 December 2008 (UTC)
