North Carolina?

[edit]

I question the inclusion of a section about "outer band" effects on the Charlotte, NC area. I am located less than 120 miles away from where this storm made landfall and we saw barely any rain from it. How can rain in the Charlotte area, 550 miles away, be associated with Claudette? --74.95.135.46 (talk) 15:51, 17 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I honestly wouldn't know but the sources definitely claim the rain is associated with Claudette. -Marcusmax(speak) 23:55, 17 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I'm just figuring that out now, I'm trying to find a good single frame radar image. Cyclonebiskit (talk) 04:19, 19 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Class of article/rainfall graphics

[edit]

While I do believe this article is B class, we made an agreement as a project for articles without TCRs to not be placed at a status above C class. By the way, I should have the initial data collection finished tomorrow and the graphics produced during the morning hours. Thegreatdr (talk) 22:49, 19 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

North Carolina paragraph

[edit]

I have removed the paragraph regarding the rainfall in North Carolina, as it does not appear to be directly related to the tropical storm. This event report from NCDC indicates the rain was actually a result of thunderstorm activity. –Juliancolton | Talk 17:33, 3 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]
