Lead

[edit]
  • "2016 U.S. Presidential election," - spell out as 2016 United States Presidental election as you have done in the main article
    • fixed

History

[edit]
  • Who was Walter W. Law?
    • fixed
  • "In 1922 Devereux" - comma is needed in between "1922" and "Devereux" for consistency
    • fixed
  • "In 1948 Henry" - ditto
    • fixed
  • "construction began May 1928" - construction began in May 1928
    • fixed
  • "In 1980, ownership of the club changed hands again" - Do we know exactly who became the club's new owner in 1980?
    • Sadly no.

Trump's purchase and redevelopment

[edit]
  • "7 tennis courts," - 7 should be spelt out
    • fixed
  • "until he closed the property to begin work on the property." - repetition of "property"
    • fixed

Reopening and further events

[edit]
  • "The thirteenth hole cost Trump $7 million, surrounded by an artificial 101-foot (31 m) black granite waterfall, which pumps 5,000 US gallons (18,900 l) a minute." - needs a citation
    • added
  • "the club sued the town of Ossining to lower its worth from $13.5 million to $1.4 million in order to lower property and school taxes;" - repetition of lower
    • fixed
  • Wikilink Horace Greeley High School
    • fixed

Current operations

[edit]
  • "initiation fees were $100,000-$150,000." - initiation fees were between $100,000-$150,000
    • fixed

References

[edit]
  • References 2, 3 & 7 needs page numbers where possible
    • The page numbers for 2 and 7 are inline; a moderately-used standard on Wikipedia. I added the page for 3.
  • References 9 and 32 lead to dead links
    • Fixed one; the other's gone; removed.
  • The works in References 14, 19, 20, 22, 35 and 39 should be italicized
    • The citation template doesn't because websites and publishers are not italicized, only newspapers/magazines. In these cases there might be a name that's also synonymous with a newspaper, however the website or publisher is ideal to list in those cases.

On hold until the above points have been actioned. MWright96 (talk) 15:36, 24 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]
