What happened to the 2nd stage of the Delta IV launcher

What happened to the 2nd stage of the Delta IV launcher ? It managed to circularise its orbit, but used more fuel. What normally happens to 2nd stages of GPS launcher rockets (deorbit themselves ?) ?
