Title doesn't match content
[edit]The title is Air Force Base Honor Guard, but the article describes the Air Force Honor Guard, which is different.
The Air Force Base Honor Guard is a unit usually composed of volunteers from a particular Air Force Base that service the area around that base.
The Air Force Honor Guard, while made up of volunteers, is highly selective in who gets selected as a member. They perform their role for the President, during State functions, at Arlington, and nationally.

Lineage Missing
[edit]Prior to 1972, the USAF Honor Guard was the function of several security units. It was constituted as a unit on 17 June 1971 and activated on 1 January 1972. This information is not in the article.--Lineagegeek (talk) 20:49, 23 June 2013 (UTC)
Ceremonial Flight Elements
[edit]I was in the 1100th Security Sqdn (Honor Guard), 1956-1957. During that time we did not have Flight Elements. We were trained and performed in all functions of the Honor Guard in addition to classified missions at the Pentagon (we were required to be vetted for a Top Secret clearance) and as needed guard posts on Bolling AFB. 50.96.109.215 (talk) 16:28, 25 August 2017 (UTC) William L.
