Is/was Upney a village?
[edit]I don't think Upney was technically a village, despite what Wikipedia's sources say, as it had no church. The 1875 map (https://maps.nls.uk/view/102342017) shows Upney, High Upney and Low Upney - amazingly - each of them tiny.
James Thorne's 'Handbook to The Environs of London' (1876) claims to include every town and village within 20 miles of London but makes no mention of any Upney. I think we have to say it is (was) / they are (were) hamlets. 82.46.163.160 (talk) 16:34, 10 September 2022 (UTC)
