Redirects and spoilers[edit]

If someone types "Verbal Kint" in the search box and gets Keyser Soze, the movie is already spoiled for them. All the spoiler banners in the world aren't going to help, because it's the freaking title. That's why this page shouldn't just be "#redirect [[Keyser Soze]]". Grok? —Keenan Pepper 01:47, 18 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

...And redirecting to The Usual Suspects doesn't make much sense either, unless Keyser Soze redirects there too. Which might not be a bad idea, but for now... —Keenan Pepper 01:52, 18 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Which is actually exactly what should be done, because the Keyser Soze page full of original research and unverifiable claims. I put those templates on that page to see if those who follow it can clean it up. If not, it should just be a redirect. What do you think? --Tcatts 13:04, 18 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Also, aren't you concerned that you're creating an enormous task for yourself? Every character in every tv show, book, and movie that doesn't have his or her own page now needs to have their redirect changed to this? Is there even any consensus that this is what should be done? --Tcatts 13:07, 18 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Wait, every character? Why do you say that? Only characters whose true identities are a matter of suspense need these special redirects. —Keenan Pepper 07:04, 19 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]
WP:NODISCLAIMERS/WP:NOTCENSORED -- Wikipedia does not support spoiler warnings, and movie articles are written with summaries that already spoil them. Besides, no one would usually search for a character without looking for the character so would look for spoiled information already. This movie is ancient, and the very twist is a meme and commonly used example. -- 65.94.171.217 (talk) 08:09, 30 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Redirecting to The Usual Suspects[edit]

Fine, do whatever you want, I don't care. Don't even discuss it on the talk page first. —Keenan Pepper 02:47, 25 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]
