Not buried alive
[edit]I see claims that Waiyaki Wa Hinga was buried alive are reported in the Kenyan press. I see no reliable source on this. Osborne and Kent, in their book Africans and Britons in the Age of Empires, 1660-1980, note that Waiyaki was arrested for drawing his sword against a young colonial official, W.P. Purkiss, and was deported to the Coast. During his arrest he was hit on the head and died from those injuries while he was en route to Mombasa. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Raphaeldunvant (talk • contribs) 09:27, 24 January 2021 (UTC)
