- ... that citizens of Amsterdam got to look into the metro system of the city for the first time at the Waterlooplein metro station with an "open tube" (pictured) in 1975?
"In the tunnel section under Waterlooplein the 'Open Buis' exhibition was held from August to October 1975. For the first time, Amsterdammers and other interested parties can get an impression of their metro."- ALT0a ... that an "open tube" event (pictured) at Waterlooplein metro station in 1975 gave citizens of Amsterdam their first look at the city's metro system?
- ALT1 ... that an artwork planned to be removed from the Waterlooplein metro station was kept in the end due to its "cultural-historical value"? Source: Het Parool

- Expansion from 555 bytes to 5289 bytes of prose started on 12th November and completed on 14th, the date of nomination.
- Not a stub: in fact rated at B-class and currently the subject of a Good article nomination.
- The article has not previously appeared @ DYK, nor the "In the News" section.
- High-quality sources are used throughout, particularly the Cees Ouwendijk book and the report about the line renovations. Citations have been used appropriately throughout; there is no uncited material.
- No close paraphrasing, inaccurate translation, plagiarism or other inaccuracy noted, and the article is neutrally written.
- QPQ review has been undertaken.
- I have tweaked some wording slightly without changing any meaning. Not relevant for DYK, but I also checked the coordinates and these are accurate.
- The image used for hook ALT0 is used in the article, appropriately licensed and looks good at thumbnail size.
- Both hooks are accurate and I have verified them with the online sources provided.
- A significant improvement has been made to this article about an important station. Good to see! Both hooks are suitable, but I have a preference for ALT0 if it can be used with the image, which I think would look good on the Main Page. If this hook is used, I would suggest some slight tweaking to the wording to make it a bit "tighter". Something like ... that an "open tube" event at Waterlooplein metro station in 1975 gave citizens of Amsterdam their first look at the city's metro system?, perhaps. - Thanks for the review. I've added the tweaked hook as ALT0a. ~StyyxTalk? 16:24, 16 November 2022 (UTC)

Prose
[edit]- "Four entrances lead up to the square with the same name" – change to "Four entrances lead up to the square of the same name"
- Done.
- "Waterlooplein station ends the straight section of line between Weesperplein and Wibautstraat" – is this sentence missing a word?
- Reworded. The point was that the line goes basically straight from Holendrecht all the way until Weesperplein and ends before Waterlooplein.
- Ah—I see! Nice work rewording.
- Reworded. The point was that the line goes basically straight from Holendrecht all the way until Weesperplein and ends before Waterlooplein.
- "Lots of oak revetments" – change to "Several oak revetments"
- Done.
- "The renovation of Waterlooplein started in September" – change to "The renovation of Waterlooplein commenced in September." (These GAs with their formal wording smh my head)
- Done.
- "The aim was to bring back the brutalist architecture used in the original station." – "The aim" sounds rather informal to me but I cannot think of a better alternative. Based on the sources, is it perhaps possible to rephrase to something around the likes of "[Name of renovating authority] wanted to revert back to the brutalist architecture used in the original station."?
- Done; added "The architect of the renovation..."
- Great!
- Done; added "The architect of the renovation..."
- In Artwork, do the sources say whether Willem Sandberg or Dirk Müller were commissioned for their artworks? I would note this in the article. Similarly;
- Added. Artists were commissioned for all except two stations, which Waterlooplein isn't one of.
- Artwork begins with explaining Waterloo. It would be more informative for readers to add a sentence that first notes that Sandberg painted the artwork and where it is located.
- Uhh, I don't understand this one. The first sentence is already "
Waterloo by Willem Sandberg consists of blue and red letters on the platform walls...
"- My main concern was that the section began with sole focus on only one of the artworks, but the sentence you added per my previous point above seems to have fixed that :)
- Uhh, I don't understand this one. The first sentence is already "
- "as they were damaged" – does the source say why they were damaged or was it just due to gradual decay overtime? If the latter I would note this in the article.
- They were damaged damaged; "
Wel zijn sommige werken door renovatiewerkzaamheden of veiligheidsmaatregelen in de stations beschadigd
".- Noted.
- They were damaged damaged; "
- Recommend adding template:Use X English.
- I honestly wouldn't know which. :d
- No problem! Not really a requirement.
- I honestly wouldn't know which. :d
