Question

[edit]

Should we divide the football program section into years and then one page for just mountaineer football, like other football programs (ie. Penn State) and like we have started with 06 and 07?? Felici1215 21:55, 16 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Wasnt WVU ranked third at the end of 1988 in the AP poll when they went to play Notre Dame?

Yep - See the record book supplement from the WVU media guide. I went ahead and made the change.--MogWV 22:36, 24 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

1993 Season

[edit]

I plan on writing up a summary of the 93 season like I did the 88 season. So bear with me.

Team Captains

[edit]

If anyone can find the team captains of the Mountaineers' 2001-2006 teams it would help. Then I could just name it "Team Captains"

2005 season

[edit]

I added after the '93 season, the '05 season. If anyone disagrees, please discuss this before deleting it. I only included it because of the new era of Rich Rod's Slaton/White combo, the Sugar Bowl win, and the 11-1 season.

Good work on that, those seasons are pretty memorable seasons (though we all wish '93 ended different) PYLrulz 11:47, 27 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I'm hoping I'll be able to write one on 07, that it will be memorable as well. John 21:42, 27 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Notable Games

[edit]

Someone should add the 1982? victory over UNLV, the 2006 Pitt game, and the 2007 UCLA game should be added

Games...Years???

[edit]

It says here in the article that:

"The average winning percentage for WVU coaches is 0.587. The games for all coaches in total are 113 and the years are 112."

There have been many more than 113 games played over the years. This line drives me crazy and makes absolutely no sense. Anyone have an idea what it is refering to? It can't be refering to the total number of games played??? --ScottyBoy900Q 23:09, 28 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Men's Basketball

[edit]

Shouldn't the notable players be changed to notable figures? As you have John Beilein on the list, and to my knowledge he never attended West Virginia University. Plus it would provide an opportunity to expand.

Notable figures is fine. John 21:07, 9 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Someone Is Messing With the Page

[edit]

Someone has changed the page so the the West Virginia Mountaineers become the Southwest Pennsylvania Mountaineers and put a whole bunch of dialogue on the introduction/blurb section. Sambamtime (talk) 05:09, 25 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]
