Sports & Activities
[edit]More information should be added about the various co-ed sports teams available for students.
Additionally, the article only mentions some of the larger clubs. For example, organizations involved with community service and the arts are not mentioned at all.

Suggested additions
[edit]I think we should add the various math/science/ band/ orchestra awards that the school has won.
Also I think the number of students who recieved AP awards, National merit awards, and presidential awards should be mentioned.
This would properly reflect the strong emphasis on academics placed in North.

Including recent news
[edit]I have reverted (as others had before me) the addition of the recent Rutgers news to this article, for several reasons. One, the sources cited did not support the information added, in that they do not mention this high school. Two, this doesn't seem like the most appropriate place for the Rutgers story to reside, if it's going to be included. Three, given that the additions were previously reverted, discussion on this talk page is needed to arrive at a consensus before it can be added. I've semi-protected the page, given the current prominence of the story, to give time for discussion before a final decision is made on whether and in what article or articles to include this information. - I contributed to that addition with a minor change and more or less support this. It does seem like the wrong place. Are they really notable? Metallurgist (talk) 04:34, 1 October 2010 (UTC)
- I think that the suicide of Tyler Clementi would not be appropriate for Wikipedia, due to the policy WP:BLP1E. For that very reason, I have written and developed an article on the sister wiki, Wikinews:US undergraduate commits suicide after 'outing' via webcast. Chzz ► 05:41, 1 October 2010 (UTC)
- Regardless of whether the event is notable, this high school is not really relevant to it. A separate article has been created at Tyler Clementi, and I think we can agree to keep all content on that page. --RabidMonkeysEatGrass 14:15, 1 October 2010 (UTC)
