Alice return to Britain
[edit]"Alice was sceptical and had returned to Liverpool with their son, William Field junior. She waited until he was properly settled, before joining him in Auckland." This is not referred to William's reminiscences and indeed the events recorded there leave no time for it to have happened. It appears to be a confusion with the wife of Richard Field Porter returning to Britain permanently from Tasmania. She was accompanied by her son William Lincoln Field Porter - born at Port Lincoln - who was later reclaimed by Richard in Britain and who returned to NZ with him. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Glaw99 (talk • contribs) 01:17, 16 March 2016 (UTC)
